                        The Gordon Schools Lottery

The Fundraising Group of The Gordon Schools Parent Council has, in consultation with The Gordon Schools Senior Management Team, set up a lottery to raise funds for The Gordon Schools. A lottery is an easy, fun way to support your local school; something that has been done successfully in other schools for several years. The Lottery is open to anyone aged 18 or over who wants to support The Gordon Schools in this fun way.

The draw will be held on every third Thursday of the month, with the winning numbers drawn by the Chair of the Huntly Community Council at their monthly meeting.  The first draw will be held on 19th November 2015.  The cost will be £5 per month per number, with 40% of the ticket money going to the Prize Fund and the remainder to the Parent Council Fundraising Group.  The Prize Fund of 40% will be split as follows:

1st prize = 25% of ticket money each month

2nd prize = 10% of ticket money each month

3rd prize = 5% of ticket money each month

Each prize will be rounded down to the nearest five pounds amount.

In order to minimise the considerable administration burden, we would like to have the Lottery payments set up as Standing Orders.  However, if you do not wish to set up a Standing Order, you can still join in the Lottery by sending a cheque for a minimum of 6 months entries (i.e. £30) per number.

The Standing Order form that will be sent to you is set to transfer the amount at the beginning of a month to ensure that all funds arrive in time to be included in the draw.   Any funds not received in the Parent Council account by the Sunday before the draw, will mean that the number is not entered into the draw for that month.

We will send you an email the Monday before the draw is made, confirming that your payment has been received and your number or numbers will be included in the draw for that month.

Good luck!
